Abstract

L'invention concerne la fabrication de phosphate de vanadium cristallin d'une surface active supérieure à 10 m**2/g. On obtient ce produit, conformément à l'invention, en faisant réagir de l'acide orthophosphorique sur un composé oxygéné du vanadium IV. Le composé de vanadium est mis en suspension dans un milieu organique approprié, par exemple, l'isobutanol et mis en contact avec l'acide à une température variant de 20 degrés C à 210 degrés C, jusqu'à ce que la réaction soit achevée. Le catalyseur ainsi obtenu sert à la production d'anhydride maléique à partir de n-butane
