Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet des procédés pour nettoyer les faces externes des parois d'échange thermique qui sont placées au contact des flammes et des fumées d'un foyer. Les procédés selon l'invention consistent à nettoyer ces faces externes en les portant à basse température, par exemple à des températures comprises entre -190 degrés et 0 degrés , en les mettant en contact avec la phase liquide ou vapeur d'un gaz liquéfie sous une pression inférieure à 35 bars. On utilise de préférence, de l'azote liquide ou du gaz carbonique liquide Une application est le nettoyage périodique des surfaces externes des faisceaux de tubes équipant les foyers de chaudières ou de fours.
