Abstract

L'invention est applicable notamment à la fabrication de calorifugeage de tuyaux.An apparatus for forming articles from a felt web of fibrous material containing a thermosetting binder is disclosed. The apparatus includes a stationary die 230 in sliding contact with the felt along the length of the felt as it moves through the die. To facilitate die replacement, the die is made up of a series of separable die elements 231A-231E which are readily removable attached in longitudinal alignment along the path of movement of the felt. The invention is particularly applicable to the manufacture of pipe insulation.
