Abstract

The shower head has a self-contained electrical heating element fitted inside its housing (1), the cold water supply entering from the rear (2). The pressure of the water flow pushes open a flap (7) pivoted on supports (12, 14) passing through flexible rubber bushes into an upper compartment. This is watertight and contains the electrical supply inlet (25) to the heating element (42). The flap supports operate two spring loaded (21) blade contacts (23, 26, 27, 28) and closes the circuit to the element as long as it remains open. An insulator (36) is also provided, this retaining the auxiliary contacts for the temperature adjustment unit.
