Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil d'affichage de l'heure par diodes électroluminescentes. Jusqu'à présent, les appareils entièrement électroniques pour l'indication de l'heure et utilisant des diodes électroluminescentes produisaient un affichage numérique faisant intervenir un grand nombre de ces diodes L'invention réduit la consommation électrique de ces appareils, grâce à un affichage analogique réalisé en disposant les diodes du cadran 20 en deux couronnes concentriques 22, 24 et en excitant une diode 24a pour symboliser la petite aiguille, deux diodes 22a et 24b pour symboliser la grande aiguille, et une diode 22b pour symboliser la trotteuse. L invention prevoit encore la réduction des dimensions radiales du cadran et de l'agrandissement par un système optique de celui-ci afin de réduire encore la consommation et d'offrir un plus grand volume pour les piles dans l'appareiL Un affichage permanent pendant un an peut être obtenu. L'invention s'applique aux montres électroniques.
