Abstract

Procédé de concentration d'acide phosphorique dilué dans lequel cet acide est chauffé par échange thermique indirect à une température inférieure à son point d'ébullition et est ensuite pulvérisé en contact direct avec des gaz chauds. Afin d'éviter la nécessité de mise en oeuvre d'énergie primaire ou de vapeur pour réaliser la concentration, on combine ce procédé avec la fabrication d'acide sulfurique par le procédé de contact dont on retire de la chaleur par échange thermique, ladite chaleur étant transférée aux fluides de l'installation de concentration d'acide phosphorique. Le procédé peut s'appliquer au départ de gaz contenant du SO2 produits par combustion de soufre ou provenant d'une installation de grillage ou d'une usine pyrométallurgique.
