Abstract

The sound and heat insulating panel, for use in vehicles or living or work areas, employs two adjacent foam layers one being impregnated so that its weight is double that of the other. The two foam layers may then be enclosed on one or both sides by a thin rubber or plastics layer. The elasticity of the lighter foam layer is pref. higher than that of the heavier foam layer and it may also be thicker than the latter.
