Abstract

Pour préparer des alliages renfermant de l'aluminium et du silicium et au moins un autre métal, on prépare un système fondant de type CaF2 -CaO-Al2 O 3 et on incorpore un oxyde d'au moins un métal supplémentaire choisi parmi les terres rares ou les métaux des groupes 4b, 5b et 6b de la classification périodique, on ajoute du silicium et de l'aluminium et on ajuste la composition du système fondant pour qu'il soit liquide dans la gamme des températures d'environ 1 250 degrés C à 1 600 degrés C et on maintient la température du fondant mixte final à une valeur au moins supérieure à son point de fusion et comprise dans ladite gamme pendant une durée suffisante pour que l'aluminium réduise pratiquement tous les oxydes de métaux supplémentaires présents et que l'alliage se forme. L'invention s'applique en particulier à la préparation d'alliages utiles pour fabriquer des aciers.
