Abstract
The grap scoop is designed so that no material is lost on lifting due to inadequate sealing. The grabbing depth of the scoop is limited in the chamber enclosed by the plate lining of the grab scoop. The limiting arrangement consists of a rod (7) arranged on the support plates and the rod longitudinal axis is at right angles to the side plates of the scoop shell. The rod projects over the whole width of the scoop shell. The scoop is not able to penetrate excessively into the bulk material due to its lowering speed and its own weight. The limited load pick up prevents undesirable deformation of the material and of the scoop and the shell edges are accurately matched.
