Abstract

L'invention a pour but d'empêcher que la viscosité intrinsèque des poly(éther de phénylene), non séparés des mélanges réactionnels au sein desquels ils ont pris naissance, ne chute lorsque la séparation de ces polymères des mélanges réactionnels ne suit pas immédiatement leur formation. A cette fin, on arrête la réaction de polymérisation avec une combinaison d'agents de chélation et d'amines aromatiques, la viscosité intrinsèque se trouvant ainsi stabilisée.
