Abstract

The stand for sheets of brittle material, particularly for large, thin sheets of glass, comprises a framework with a horizontal beam (3), connected in the middle to a lifting beam (1) provided with a lifting hook (2) and connected at the two ends to transverse beams (4)(5), these being connected to the lifting beam by at least two ties (6)(7). The support for the sheets of material consists of trellises, disposed one on each side of the framework, which support the surface of the sheets and at the bottom of the trellises supports for the edges of the sheets. The framework is separated from a chassis by shock absorbers.
