Abstract

Dispositif du genre enceinte électro-acoustique, permettant d'améliorer la reproduction des sons notamment dans le registre grave et cela dans un encombrement minimum. Il comprend un boîtier cubique dont deux faces opposées sont bouchées chacune par un transducteur électromécanique. Les deux transducteurs sont identiques et implantés en opposition de manière à ce que leurs membranes travaillent en sens opposés. Le volume d'air ainsi défini constitue un amortisseur pneumatique qui a pour effet d'accélérer les déplacements des membranes dans le sens travail-repos, et de supprimer les crêtes d'amplitude de celles-ci lorsque le signal électrique qui a donné naissance aux déplacements contient des pointes de puissance pouvant induire des distorsions indésirables. L'invention peut être utilisée pour équiper une chaîne de reproduction sonore dans les cas où l'encombrement ne doit pas nuire à la qualité des sons reproduits, et en général pour s'affranchir des effets de résonance propre et de traînage.
