Abstract

L'invention est relative à un procédé et à un appareil pour retirer des comprimés de combustible hors de la gaine métallique d'un élément combustible nucléaire. On forme une ouverture 16 dans une extrémité de l'élément combustible 10 et on introduit un liquide sous haute pression dans la gaine 12 de cet élément combustible pour provoquer la dilatation de celle-ci et permettre l'enlèvement aisé des comprimés de combustible 14 hors de cette gaine 12, lorsque celle-ci est découpée. Utilisation particulièrement avantageuse pour permettre l'enlèvement de comprimés de combustible, sans les endommager, hors de la gaine métallique d'un élément combustible nucléaire.
