Abstract
The automatic choke control is fitted to an internal combustion engine to regulate the degree of choke obtained during acceleration with a cold engine. The carburettor choke flap is controlled by thermostatic units, depending on the vacuum in the intake pipe. The manometric unit is connected to the atmosphere or the intake pipe (31) through a calibrated orifice (37) and under the control of a valve spool (24) and an acceleration detector (27). a solenoid valve (48) is actuated by the ignition key contact and an oil pressure switch (49) to first break the initial vacuum in the system and then re-establish it.
