Abstract
The charged coupled device (CCD) is for general industrial use. The CCD circuit minimises the difficulties associated with the use of a clock source based on the harmonic of a low source frequency. The device also has a high charge transfer efficiency. The CCD has a number of individual cells fed from an input diode, each cell being fed from a control signal generator. The generator processes the output from a clock source progression signals to the individual cells. The total circuit includes a sampling input and output unit supplying the input diode and output diode with synchronisation signals.
