Abstract

Readily assembled support construction esp. for furniture panels, racking, toys or protective roofs, has individual plates arranged above one another and next to each other and coupled by supporting rods. Each plate (1-8) has one or two rows of rod-reception pockets provided on at least two plate edges so that the pocket openings are at right angles to the edges. The coupling rods (9-22) have right-angled bent, equal length, parallel ends which are plugged into the pocket holes in such a way that the angles they form with the plate surfaces are always other than 90 deg.. The rod axes and the edges of the connected plates form flat trapezoid systems on both sides of the plates such that on one plate side the longer trapezoid base is located below while on the other side it is above.
