Abstract

L'appareil permet d'assurer la jonction d'un conduit en matière thermoplastique sans nécessiter l'utilisation d'un solvant chimique ni exiger une immobilisation prolongée dans un bâti ou analogue et comprend : un tronçon du conduit en matière thermoplastique présentant, à une extrémité de forme tubulaire, un tronçon tubulaire 13 de longueur L1 présentant des dimensions extérieures données; un raccord 17 percé d'un premier alésage 21 et comportant à l'une de ses extrémités une extrémité en forme d'alvéole de longueur L2 et percée d'un second alésage 23 dont les dimensions intérieures sont étroitement voisines des dimensions extérieures de l'extrémité tubulaire et qui est destinée à recevoir de façon complémentaire l'extrémité tubulaire, ce raccord comportant un epaulement 25 contre lequel vient buter l'extrémité tubulaire, et un évidement annulaire 27 destiné à recevoir l'excès de matière plastique fondue lorsqu'une extrémité tubulaire chauffée est appliquée contre l'épaulement, de façon à empêcher la formation de cordons de matière plastique nuisibles à une bonne étanchéité.
