Abstract

The ski boot consists of two independent parts. One is the lower part of the boot (1) which is joined to a metal plate (8). The other part (2) covers the leg and is joined directly to the ski by a stirrup joined to the metal plate. The upper part is articulated to the lower part by a hinge (7) carried each side of the stirrup (6) and riveted to the interior of the upper part. A stop on the spindle prevents the upper part flexing towards the back. The boot is made watertight by supple padding between the two parts.
