Abstract

The ski boot is made in at least two parts, the base of the shell (2) and the upper part (1), which can consists of several parts (5, 6). The two parts are joined together by transversal axles (3') at the level of the ankles so that they are hinged. Between the parts there is a slot (9) to form a zone of deformation. There are elastic straps (10, 11) to control the amount of deformation and these can have two positions. In the first position, for skiing, they lock, at least near the back, the two parts together and in the second position, for walking, the straps are raised to free them.
