Abstract

The snow grips comprise hoops to grip around the tread and shafts which lie along the side of the wheel, into the centre where they are secured by elastic tensioners. The supports are such that each grip can move independently with the flexing of the tyre, thus reducing noise and wear. Safety hooks on the shafts secure the grips if the main tensioners should break, and prevent damage from flying hoops. The grips are simple to fit and locate. In the folded position they occupy a min. amount of space.
