Abstract

A deflector arm for a window has a sliding block (7) locked against a cover plate (8) inside a guide channel (6) with return flanges along it. These sliding members are attached to a base plate (1) mounted below the level of the return flanges. This base plate has a hinge pin (2) projecting from it which passes through a hole (12) in the middle of the sliding block. Locating pins (11) also attach this block to the cover plate, one each end. The hinge pin has a groove (4) around it, engaged by two spring wires (16) after assembly, which fit into a recess along the block, so that they fit each side of the pins. Two pegs (19) with lugs (20) extending from their ends, are inserted so that when rotated, the lugs tension the wires so that the three sliding members (1, 7, 8) are held together.
