Abstract

Une machine rotative selon l'invention est du type non lubrifié et est utilisable comme pompe ou comme compresseur pour fluides liquides ou gazeux. Elle est notamment à palettes radialement mobiles et comprend deux plaques latérales d'usure et d'étanchéité 7, 8, entre le carter principal 1 dans lequel tourne le rotor 6 et les flasques 2, 3. plaques 7, 8 sont flexibles et sont pressées contre les faces extrêmes du rotor par une surpression maintenue dans les chambres d'extrémité 9, 10. Selon une caractéristique essentielle de l'invention, les plaques latérales 7, 8 sont faites d'un matériau dont la résistance à l'abrasion est plus élevée que celle d'au moins les faces extrêmes opposées du rotor 6. Cette machine est notamment utilisable comme pompe à air sur les véhicules automobiles.
