Résines synthétiques blanches par transparence et par réflexion, consistant en un polymère transparent et un pigment blanc dont le diamètre de particule moyen est d l'indice de réfraction n. L'indice de réfraction n du pigment est supérieur à 1,65 et de préférence compris entre 1,7, et 2,9, et le diamètre de particule moyen d est compris entre 1,2 d o et 6 do , do étant donné en microns par l'équation :
