Abstract

A central arm rest is for the front seats of a car with a central tunnelled floor. There is a U shaped frame (10) which forms the lower part and an upper part (20) with padding on top. The U shaped frame (1) has a central part (11). From this part this part two side pieces (12, 12') which go on either side of the tunnel (1) and fit closely. At the end of each side piece are holes (13, 13') to take a screw normally on the tunnel and fixing it to the floor. To fit the arm rest these screws are slackened and then replaced to hold the arm rest assembly, leaving the hand brake (3) accessible.
