Abstract

Système de mesure numérique d'une grandeur y, dans lequel le convertisseur AN reçoit un signal adapté à plusieurs gammes définies par 10**n <y <10**n+1 (n entier variant par ex. de -2 à 3) et une mémoire de gamme détermine la place de la virgule dans la valeur numérique correspondante. On utilise un transducteur à caractéristique logarithmique dont la sortie UM = a (log y + 2) est appliquée à un amplificateur différentiel 55 en même temps qu'une tension (n+2)a produite par (n+2) sources de courant 68 débloquées par les commutateurs associés 66 à seuils respectifs a, 2a...5a quand UM > a (2**e gamme : n = 1), UM > 2a (3**e gamme : n = 0, cas indiqué par les traits épais) etc., pour produire le signal différentiel a log d (en posant y = d.l0**n dans chaque gamme n+3). Une fonction précise de d peut être obtenue par linéarisation 58 adaptée à la gamme et le nombre d'impulsions correspondant fourni par le convertisseur AN est aiguillé sur l'entrée III d'un compteur décimal 64 qui permet d'affecter à l'unité le poids approprié (10 degrés , dans l'exemple choisi). Application particulière à la détection de radiations nucléaires.
