Abstract

The circuit is generally intended for pulse amplitude analysis using an analogue digital converter whose range is extended to cover the large pulse amplitudes in a processing unit such as for example a particle counter. The converter has a row of digital outputs, a number of parallel step modules with sub range limits coupled to the input. These determine the lower limits of the amplitude range. All the modules react to the incoming pulses indicating whether they fall within a particular range.
