Abstract

Fuel is fed to the combustion chamber from a supply source and hot air under pressure is introduced via pipes from the expansion chambers. Combustion follows as a result of compression heat, supported initially by a heater plug. The combustion chamber is surrounded by a water cooling jacket whereby the water, which has been preheated before entering the cooling chambers, is turned to steam. After completion of the combustion process, the exhaust gas and the steam are led via their respective pipes to mixer control valves and a primary expansion chamber whereby the energy is used to turn a crankshaft.
