Abstract

La présente invention est relative à des particules aciculaires de (FEO)x Fe2 O 3 . Suivant la présente invention, la valeur de x est supérieure à 1 et ne dépasse pas 1,5, et le cobalt constitue 1 % à 10 % du poids total des particules. Lorsqu'on les disperse dans un liant non magnétisable, ces particules d'hypermagnétite, recouvertes de cobalt forment des milieux d'enregistrement magnétiques d'une qualité supérieure.
