Abstract
The five poled spark gap discharger for telecommunications includes a cylindrical metal box (2). The interior plane face at one end (22), is disposed at a calibrated distance from a common plane of the front faces of four active electrodes (I1 - I4) in the form of solid metal cylinders mounted on spindles (111 - 114). The interior face has in at least one geometrically regular and coaxial groove (24), a known material (23) of low energy exit electrons. The base (3) of the box is a separate circular plate (31) made from iron-nickel-cobalt alloy, e.g. Kovar. The box is filled with rare gas under low pressure, without any radio active compounds.
