Abstract

The connector has a first part (11) with a number of parallel holes (11a) for contacts and a second part (12) with a number of parallel holes (12a) for contacts. Contacts inserted into holes (11a) are suitable for making contact with contacts inserted in corresponding holes (12a). Two contacts are in contact with each other when the two parts (11, 12) are held together. A retaining element is inserted into a free hole of the first or second part, and projects from it. It can be inserted into a free hole in the other part, locating them so that correct contacts are in contact with each other.
