Abstract
L'invention concerne les mesures optiques. On constitue un milieu diffuseur optique de référence en dispersant des particules qui diffusent la lumière, de manière pratiquement uniforme, dans un milieu solide transparent, souple et pratiquement incompressible; ce milieu peut être sélectivement mis en position contre la pointe d'un cathéter optique et être utilisé à l'intérieur d'une enveloppe amovible stérilisable pour effectuer des mesures photométriques répétitives, afin de calibrer les performances d'un instrument de mesure photométrique. Application : mesure optique de la saturation du sang en oxygene.The invention relates to optical measurements. A reference optical scattering medium is constituted by dispersing particles which scatter light, in a practically uniform manner, in a transparent, flexible and practically incompressible solid medium; this medium can be selectively positioned against the tip of an optical catheter and be used inside a removable sterilizable envelope to perform repetitive photometric measurements, in order to calibrate the performance of a photometric measuring instrument. Application: optical measurement of blood oxygen saturation.
