Abstract
The pressure reducer is for use between a primary and a secondary medium circuit, and has a body with a central cylindrical bore between those of primary and secondary pressure chambers. A piston is slidable in the central bore. The diameter (S2) of the central bore is less than that either of the primary (4) and secondary (3) chambers. The piston (2) has a tubular portion with one end (23) open to the secondary chamber, while the other (24) is closed by a base forming a valve (26) working in conjunction with a joint (5) moving along the primary chamber bore. This latter end (24) is of smaller diameter than the central bore, and forms with it an intermediate pressure chamber (6) connected to the secondary chamber via ports (60).
