Abstract

Equipment in the addition, comprises a complementary pair of mould tools where the base of the cavity when partially closed is surrounded by an annular chamber which includes an air jet manifold to boost injection of granules from a supply passage into the individual cavity. Suction can simultaneously be applied to a vent at the top of the cavity, via a filter too fine to pass the granules. Full closure of the tool cause overlapping flange lips on each tool to seal off the annular mould inlet.
