Abstract

Electrical power plug normally used with domestic equipment where the wiring is permanently attached to the plug pins and the remainder of the plug, i.e. the cover, is injection moulded. The design is intended to overcome the risk of deformation of the wiring to the pins and that of disconnection during the moulding process. Wiring is attached via circular terminals to the plug pins which emerge through its base at stepped and differing levels with respect to the base. The protective cover may be either elastic or relatively rigid and fitted to the base by tongues and grooves and have an inspection hole which is ultimately filled.
