Abstract

L'invention concerne la détermination du comportement au craquage thermique de matières premières pour fours de craquage industriels. Selon ce procédé une certaine quantité de la matière première avec un gaz inerte est chauffée dans un four au moins jusqu'à la limite de craquage thermique. Ensuite les produits de craquage sont analysés. On injecte dans une chambre de vaporisation chauffée une telle quantité de la matière première à examiner, que cette chambre puisse contenir l'échantillon à l'état vaporisé. Après on propulse comme un bouchon la matière première vaporisée et préchauffée dans le four au moyen d'un gaz moteur inerte pour que la pression partielle de la matière première à la température régnant dans le four ait une valeur, qui est à peu pres la même que celle dans le four industriel de craquage dans lequel on utilisera la matière première à examiner. Le four est constitué par une étroite conduite d'un matériau catalytiquement inactif vis-à-vis du craque thermique. Ce procédé permet d'optimiser le fonctionnement des fours de craquage industriels.
