Abstract

The wooden roof frame, for individual or collective housing, can be prefabricated completely in a workshop allowing easy tr transport and erection on site. The frame consists of a triangulated truss which is higned at the ridge (a), at the sides (b) and at the ends (c, d) of the struts (9) so that it can be folded up for easy transport. The ridge gusset plate is stiffened to avoid transverse distortion of the frame during handling. Once on site the frame is unfolded and the joints are secured by bolts fitted into previously drilled holes.
