Abstract
Samples are placed in a machine where they are submitted to accelerated tests for corrosion. A sample can be submitted to strain, pressure and temp. to reproduce conditions of use. A sample (9) is submitted to a corrosive atmosphere from corrosive agent (13) in a recipient (11). The recipient is heated by an electrical resistance (14) via a conductor (15). A thermocouple (16) measures temp. while a second thermocouple (18) acts as regulator. A gas compressor (20) provides pressure to prevent bubbling of the corrosive agent. A traction machine (4) with a strain gauge (7) dynamometer is driven by motor through reduction gearing (5). A vertical shaft (8) applies strain to the sample.
