Abstract

On prépare du CrCO2 en oxydant de l'oxyde de chrome trivalent hydraté Cr2 O 3 , x H2 O, où x est supérieur ou égal à 1, à une température d'au moins 350 degrés C et sous des pressions d'au moins 2 kilobars, dans un milieu oxydant, solide ou en solution liquide aqueuse, essentiellement constitué d'un composé de formule HYOy, z H2 O, où X représente un atome d'iode, y est un entier positif inférieur ou égal à 4, et z est un nombre qui est fonction de la solution dudit composé dans la solution ou de l'eau de cristallisation dans le cas où on met en oeuvre un agent oxydant solide. Application à la réalisation de tout dispositif nécessitant un composé ferromagnétique à une température inférieure à 116 degrés C et notamment de bandes magnétiques.
