Abstract
The repetition woodworking lathe reproduces a turned shape by means of a profiled template. The tool saddle (2) feed mechanism is driven by rollers of semi-hard elastic friction material bearing against a machined surface on the lathe bed (1), and the pressure of the rollers against this surface is adjusted by vertical movement of the spindle on which the rollers are mounted. The machined surface can be milled where the rollers run over it, and can be formed by the underside of the bed. The saddle can travel over the bed by means of metal rollers (3) running on the top of the bed, which can be a rigid I-section girder.
