Abstract

The hand-grip bindig (9) for use on tennis rackets and comprises an elastic tubular cord. The cord may be installed on the handle (19) by either transverse helical winding or longitudinal spiral winding, and in both cases forms a contiguous cover. The constituent cord (9) may be an elastomer e.g. rubber or latex, and two cords of differing dias. may be deployed to improve grip qualities. The two different cords may be worn independently but side by side. The larger cord may have external and internal dias. of 1.5 to 1.8 and .6 to .8 mm resp. For the smaller cord the corresponding dimension may be 1 to 1.2 and .4 to .6 mm. The bindings may be anchored by fastening the terminal windings in a previously fixed longitudinal loop (10).
