Abstract

The rotary wire-bruch has a series of bristle-clusters (3) mounted in radially curved formations on a support disc (1). The curved rows of bristel-clusters lead generated dust to the centre of the disc (1) which is apertured (5) to permit vacuum extraction from the rear. The arrangement obviates vacuum-extraction skirts projecting outside the disc, and enables the disc to gain access to corners between walls and floors. The rows of bristle-clusters are inclined relative to disc radii, and curved with convexities in the sense of brush rotation (F). The bristles thus form a series of channels (9) which converge on and lead the dust to the central outlet. (5).
