Abstract

790,826. Brushes. OSBORN MANUFACTURING CO. Aug. 7, 1956 [Sept. 19, 1955], No. 24184/56. Class 19. In a power driven rotary brush strips of brush material preferably formed as described in the referred to Specification 645,607 [Group VI] are inserted into supporting slots 1 in a rotor 5 by movement in a radial direction towards the axis of rotation of the rotor and are held in the slot beneath an edge either of the slot and/or the projecting portions of the edge 9 of a member 8 inserted in the slot by wedges 11 driven into the slot. Three preferred constrictions are described. U.S.A. Specification 2,714,738 also is referred to.
