Abstract

The support and glide system for drawers, especially filing drawers, consists of a fixed frame (1) supporting the sliding drawers (2, 3, 4). On each side of the frame are a series of horizontal slide pieces (6) which are spaced regularly part in a vertical direction and protrude towards the drawers. Each side of each drawer has at least one projection extending from its corresponding side towards the fixed slide pieces (6) in the form of a horizontal flange (8). The drawer flanges (8) has a downward-pointing, vertical edge (15) on which they rest on the slide pieces (6). The back of the drawer, underneath the bottom level of he edge, has a horizontal projecting plate (13) reinforced by grooves (14) resting against the corresponding slide piece (6) and preventing the drawer from rocking when open.
