Abstract

Pancake-making machine comprises a lower horizontal heating plate and a second upper heating plate arranged to be lowered nearly to the lower plate. The adjoining surface together form a circular cooking zone which is lowest at the centre and extends radially at a regular or increasing slope. The lower plate is connected by a hinge to the upper plate. The lower plate is fixed in a frame, for resting on a table, which contains a heater and regulating means. The upper plate has a cover, with a handle. The heater for the upper plate is fixed under this cover. The adjacent surfaces of the plates have a radius of curvature some 5-10 times the dia. of the plates. Batter is poured into the hollow of the lower plate. when the cover is closed its weight extends the batter regularly in all directions. Construction is simple and perfectly round pancakes of different dias. can be produced without any special precautions and without the necessity of a skilled operator in prior art.
