Abstract

L'invention se rapporte aux pigments. Elle concerne un pigment vanadate de bismuth monoclinique amélioré caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué essentiellement de vanadate de bismuth monoclinique revêtu d'une précouche de 0,2 à 20 % en poids d'un oxyde de métal hydraté, d'une deuxième couche de silice dense amorphe à raison de 2 à 40 % en poids et de 0 à 5 % en poids de Al2 O3 déposé sur celle-ci. Utilisation dans des matières thermoplastiques et dans les peintures, notamment.
