Abstract

Procédé de purification pour l'élimination des impuretés d'eaux brutes ou usées par dégradation biologique-chimique combinée de ces impuretés. On ajoute un minéral finement divisé ou un mélange de minéraux aux micro-organismes actifs maintenus dans le système de réaction et on met en contact des eaux usées qui arrivent avec la boue active formée. Le minéral ou les minéraux ajoutés qui sont sensiblement insolubles dans l'eau et non-toxiques pour les micro-organismes augmentent la densité de la boue active formée. Par dissociation du minéral, les ions aident à la précipitation des espèces ioniques présentes dans les eaux usées traitées et au réglage du pH de ces eaux. Le rendement des réactions biochimiques et chimiques se produisant simultanément est ainsi amélioré. L'invention concerne aussi un appareil utilisable pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé. Cet appareil comprend une chambre d'aération 14, une chambre 16 de séparation de la boue et une chambre de clarification 18. Applications aux installations individuelles ou collectives.
