Abstract

Procédé et dispositif de coagulation d'émulsions de latex de polymère. Le dispositif selon la présente invention comprend une extrudeuse munie d'au moins une vis 13 tournant dans un cylindre 12. Un moyen PL est prévu pour injecter une émulsion de latex sous pression directement dans le cylindre. Un joint de polymère se forme au niveau du point d'injection. Des moyens 26, 40 dans le cylindre servent à coaguler plus encore l'émulsion de latex, à former un joint de polymere et à créer une chute de pression en aval de ce joint, dans une zone où les vis tournent sans être remplies de polymère, d'où il résulte que le polymère et l'eau se séparent dans les espaces compris entre les vis. L'eau libérée est évacuée en 65 et le produit polymère coagulé est extrudé en continu et peut être soumis à une dévolatilisation, un lavage à contre-courant, une mise sous la forme de pastilles et un séchage. La presente invention permet de réaliser la coagulation directe d'émulsions de latex sans devoir y incorporer préalablement un autre polymère.
