Abstract

The rotor induction disc (1) for an electric motor carries the conductor windings (5) of the induction coil. It has a series of apertures (6,6a) positioned between the adjacent conductor windings. These apertures (6, 6a) are elongate and lie along radii of the disc (1) each aperture (6,6a) widening out towards the outer periphery of the disc (1). A smaller circular aperture (7) may lie adjacent the outer end of spaced groups of elongate apertures (6a) which are shorter than the remaining elongate apertures (6).
