Abstract

The damper has a circular casing which can be clamped between the flanges of a ventilation duct. A shaft (4) projecting into the casing on a diameter carries a butterfly damper (5) which is held at the diametrically opposite end on a pin (3) inside the casing. The circular edge of the damper has a groove (9) in which an elastic sealing strip (10) is inserted. The casing has a projecting ridge on the inside and when the damper is pivotted into the closed position, the sealing strip (10) is compressed between the damper and the casing ridge to form an air and moisture tight seal.
