Abstract

The face plate of the de-burring machine is attached to a cylinder housing a piston (5). The de-burring blade (7) is mounted on two pins (6) which pass through holes in the face plate and with their other ends fitting in holes in the piston. The tube is pushed towards the de-burring blade at a relatively high rate of feed and any flash or burrs are removed from the end face. But as the tube end face contacts the blade the feed rate of the machine is automatically reduced for the following turning operation which is carried out by the tools attached to the tool holders (16).
